Prevention & treatment of osteoporosis, & to help increase muscle strength & improve balance to reduce the risk of falls & fractures in patients >50 yr.
Patients w/ kidney disease or had kidney stones; stomach or digestion problems eg, on-going diarrhea, not absorbing nutrients properly, or not having enough acid in the stomach. Monitor blood regularly if using a large amount of Ca or in long-term use. Pregnancy & lactation.
